Information on Electrical and Electronic Equipment
The following information is intended for private households that use electrical and/or electronic equipment. Please observe these important instructions in the interest of environmentally sound disposal of waste equipment and your own safety.
1. Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and on the meaning of the symbol in accordance with Annex 3 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG):
Owners of waste equipment are required to dispose of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Electrical and electronic waste equipment must therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and in particular must not be placed in household waste. Instead, such waste equipment must be collected separately and disposed of, for example, via local collection and return systems.
Owners of waste equipment must also separate used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed within the waste equipment before handing it in at a collection point.
The latter does not apply where waste equipment is separated from other waste equipment by public waste management authorities in accordance with Section 14 (5) sentences 2 and 3 of the ElektroG as part of opting procedures, for the purpose of preparing it for reuse.
Based on the symbol set out in Annex 3 of the ElektroG, owners can identify waste equipment that must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment represents a crossed-out wheeled bin and is designed as follows:

2. Information on return options for waste equipment:
Owners of waste equipment can return it through the collection or take-back systems set up and made available by public waste management authorities to ensure proper disposal. Where applicable, it may also be possible to return electrical and electronic equipment for the purpose of reuse. Further information can be obtained from the respective collection or return point.
