Illuminated floor globe made with acrylic sphere Ø 60 cm, hand-coated.

Since its introduction over 70 years ago, the DUO symbolizes the two-in-one principle: Non-illuminated, the map shows different countries, illuminated, the complex print additionally reveals the physical image - with detailed topography and seemingly three-dimensional elevations. A complex 120 halftone printing process ensures that even the smallest writings are crystal clear and sharply depicted, down to details like railway and shipping routes and even cold and warm ocean currents. The result: Excellent readability and color fidelity.

The steadfast detail: A globe needs firm support to develop its full appeal. With the Radiant base design, the floor model rests on a solid stainless steel plate and rotates around a stainless steel strut that is inclined just as the earth's axis is.
