The Lord of the Rings™ Middle-earth™ Globe
General information
Illuminated globe with acrylic sphere Ø 30 cm, hand-coated, beech wood.
Columbus presents a globe that projects the world of the Rings saga onto a globe according to the latest Tolkien research. The globe is the only one of its kind in the world and is published exclusively by Columbus in English. The globe shows the complete topography of Tolkien's magical world with the aesthetic appeal of classic cartography. Columbus was able to secure John Howe, who worked as a conceptual artist on the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films, exclusively for this project. The result is a globe that allows us to immerse ourselves in the world of Tolkien and at the same time helps us to locate the events in the master's novels. When illuminated, the travel routes of Bilbo and Frodo through Middle-earth appear. A must for every Tolkien fan!The steadfast detail: A globe needs firm support to develop its full appeal. With the Count foot design, the globe rests on a solid beech wood base and rotates in a fiberglass-reinforced plastic mounting in a satin silver-gray color.
